Last month Oklahoma City Thunder social network sports star Kevin Durant was rapping onstage with teammate Russell Westbrook.
This month, Durant took his flow into the recording studio where he spit a verse over the Kanye West/Jay Z beat from Watch the Throne, “Gotta Have It”, with Dave East (@Dave_East).
“Man my boy @DAVE_EAST put me on blast with us in the studio! Haha I promise I’m just doing that as a hobby lol… I had fun tho!” Durant tweeted.
The response from Twitter was mixed.
“I see @KDTrey5 going HAM in the booth on worldstar!!” tweeted Jason Clark, Georgetown Hoyas.
“he wrote his I freestyle lol like I said bars for days,” joked Jeff Green, Boston Celtics.
Drake recently likened himself to be the Kevin Durant of hip-hop. Can Durant become the Drake of the NBA?
“So everything I do now not involving basketball is because of the lockout? Nah I’m not a robot, I like to enjoy myself! Got damn!” Durant tweeted.
