According to multiple tweets and reports, former NBA player Javaris Crittenton has been charged with the murder of a 22-year-old woman.
“This is crazy. Trouble continues to follow me for some reason. I put my trust in God,” Crittenton tweeted around 9:00 p.m. EST on Friday.
Crittenton is accused of the shooting death of Julian Jones on August 19 in Atlanta. According to AJC.com, authorities believe Crittenton was targeting someone who robbed him back in April but missed and hit Jones instead.
Crittenton’s timeline indicates that he went to see Planet of the Apes on the date in question.
“Man Planet of the Apes is a must see! Ceasar is a beast. Might as well been a gangsta film with Apes,” Crittenton tweeted.
Crittenton’s profile on Twitter reads: “Say hello to the bad guy! They say I’m a bad guy. They say a lot about me let me tell you what I aint! 2 Words-LOYAL & REAL. HATERS MOTIVATE ME…nuff said”
Crittenton was the other player involved in the infamous guns in locker room incident involving former Wizards teammate and current Orlando Magic guard Gilbert Arenas.
Update: Crittenton’s Twitter page has been deleted.
