Houston running back and social networking sports star Arian Foster carried the ball 24 times to rack up 153 yards and two touchdowns in the Texans’ 31-10 victory over Cincinnati on Saturday.
“Arian Foster…Australian for ridiculous touchdowns,” tweeted Michael Schottey, Bleacher Report Editor.
Foster entered the game with a new haircut, having a barber shave the Texans logo into the side of his head, and finished the game averaging 6.4 yards per carry as the Texans got its first playoff victory in franchise history.
“Arian Foster has earned himself a large sack of cash. Pay the man,” tweeted Richard Justice, MLB.com.
Foster celebrated a touchdown by jumping in the stands, the hometown crowd chanted his name at various points in the game and members of the media took to the social media website, Twitter, to suggest the organization make the third-year back out of Tennessee a Texan for the long term.
“Texans need to pay Arian Foster. He’ll be restricted free agent after season,” tweeted @ProFootballTalk.
Not only is he a top priority for the Texans organization, Foster will be a top priority for many Fantasy Football owners during their drafts for the next Fantasy Football regular season.
“Arian Foster showing tonight why he should be the #1 overall pick in fantasy in 2012,” tweeted @Fantasy_Guru.
Foster received very little online coaching from Fantasy Football owners this past week.
